Hi - let me tell you about about me.
If you’re reading this page you are probably just starting your journey towards becoming a driving instructor and have a ton of questions - and I'm looking forward to giving you the answers, along with advanced training, honest advice and easy to follow guidance.
I'm passionate about helping people who are serious in becoming great driving instructors and attracted by the many benefits the job has to offer.
I'm equally passionate about helping people avoid potentially costly mistakes and wasting their valuable time because either the job isn't right for them - or they're being mislead by questionable sales and marketing techniques by Driving Schools which catch so many people out - as they did me....
My driving instructor journey.
Training to be an instructor wasn’t an easy path for me. It took me nearly two years. Cost me over £3k. I made a ton of mistakes along the way – and I just scraped through my ADI exams on my third and final attempt. Then, after finally getting my ADI licence, I made a load more mistakes, lost all confidence and nearly quit. Here’s why!
- I thought I’d been sold a dream which would never become a reality.
- I realised my training hadn’t prepared me for the REAL job.
- I’d been taught a massive amount of ‘stuff’ but had no idea how to use it.
- My first ten students had one lesson but never came back for more.
I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong and felt totally dejected, abandoned and isolated - and left to figure everything out for myself.
I sincerely hope you NEVER experience what I did. It’s a totally 'soul destroying' feeling which no-one deserves and is not the way things should be. And that's why I've created AAT!

Over the last decade, I’ve spent thousands of hours designing and delivering highly successful training programmes for national driving schools, and I’ve ‘personally’ supported hundreds of trainee instructors to achieve their goals.
I don’t want to sound big-headed or arrogant, but I’ve studied and worked hard to become highly skilled at my craft – which has put me in the top 5% of instructors and trainers in the UK. Now I want to pass on what I've learnt to you – in a way that works for YOU!
And I want to create a vibrant and supportive community where you can share your wins, challenges and learning with other ADI trainees and instructors.
